Tina Bru was elected as the new Chair of Fritt Ukraina at the organization’s annual general meeting on March 25.

“I am very grateful for the trust placed in me to lead Fritt Ukraina,” says Bru.

She also thanks Peter Frølich, who founded the organization, and Secretary General Natalia Antonia Golis for their work in building an operation that delivers critical support to Ukraine.

Peter Frølich is stepping down as Chair as he takes on the role of Chair of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and Defence in the Norwegian Parliament.

“Our most important task is to deliver vehicles, drones, and equipment to those fighting for the freedom of Ukraine and Europe,” she says.

Tina Bru is a former Member of the Norwegian Parliament for the Conservative Party and previously served as Norway’s Minister of Petroleum and Energy. She currently works as a PR advisor at First House. She brings broad political experience, including from energy and industrial policy, and has been a clear voice on issues related to security, preparedness, and European cooperation.

“My brother and I founded this organization in 2022. It was a lonely first board meeting, with only two members. The new board is highly competent and impactful. It shows what has been built over four years,” says outgoing Chair Peter Frølich.

“I hope that one day the new board will have the privilege of winding down the organization we established, because Ukraine has succeeded in its fight for freedom. But until that day, all good forces must work at full capacity to help. Our future depends on Ukrainian soldiers being able to stand against evil,” he adds.

The new board is chaired by Tina Bru. In addition, Håkon Warø and Ragnhild Fresvik were elected as new board members. Ragnhild Fresvik is CEO of Eviny and a member of the Executive Board of Norges Bank. Håkon Warø is a senior advisor at Nestor Norway and has more than 37 years of experience from the Norwegian Armed Forces.

The following members will continue on the board: Ragnhild Astrup Tschudi, Thomas Frølich (Vice Chair), Anette Ringnes, Morten Wetland, and Peter Warren.
