Fritt Ukraina is currently experiencing a surge in new memberships.
“We’ve received over a thousand new members in the past month. Most of them have joined just in the last week, following Zelensky’s meeting with Trump,” says Secretary General Natalia Golis.
“In addition to the new memberships, we’ve also received nearly 3,000 payments and donations from both individuals and companies during the same period,” Golis adds.
Growing Impatience
“There’s a growing impatience among the Norwegian public, and my impression is that Fritt Ukraina helps give that impatience a voice,” says Secretary General Natalia Golis.
“Thanks to our supporters, Fritt Ukraina has become an established and crucial part of a complex ecosystem on the ground in Ukraine. We are not a replacement for anything, but an active partner – both for Ukraine’s defense and for the international defense support,” she continues.
Changing the Course of the War
On certain fronts in Ukraine, up to 85 percent of the drones being used have been donated by private contributors.
“It’s the same generosity and support we’re experiencing at Fritt Ukraina that gives us the strength to make a difference where it’s needed the most,” Golis says.
“Fritt Ukraina is now helping to change the course of the war – with funds coming directly from people on the ground in Norway,” she emphasizes.
